With the Old Spice Guy answering all sorts of questions, there seems to be no end to the questions that are pouring in. While this may be funny and entertaining; One question that came to mind after watching the videos is Where is the Call To Action?
During any type of advertising campaign whether it be video, e-mail, direct mail etc.... you want someone to take an action towards your product or service. For example, verbs like Purchase, Apply, Get, Visit among many others. These are call to action words that make people want to get up and do that very thing you are asking them to do because of the value.
What would appeal to you more to purchase a product? A funny video on YouTube or a Funny video on YouTube that mentions to visit their website and receive 10% off a product or service. While the advertising campaign was entertaining and funny; Where is the Call to Action?
